La French Touch Academy will take a new step thanks to the superb facilities of the city of Cap d'Agde. Charles Auffray, co-founder of the FTA (with Julien Bercovici) at the Tennis Padel Sand looks back at the projects that should come out of the ground as soon as 2022.

Exceptional infrastructure

“The city has invested a lot in the centre. It allows us to have high quality infrastructure. And today new opportunities are available to us. This is why we will develop 2 courses next year:

  • One based on the long term for 12 to 18 year olds. The idea is to combine padel and study.
  • and the other course oriented towards the professional world.

In association with Yannick Martinez, responsible for the tennis club and padel for the town hall of Cap d'Agde, we want to propose new offers padel in France and become a reference in the world of padel. "

The first study sport padel in France

“Sport study padel / accommodation / schooling / physical training will see the light of day next year. Nicolas trancart is a very good coach and is part of the elite of the padel French. We have the ability to set up a serious program for 12 to 18 year olds to pursue a strong project in the padel like in tennis.

We are able to arrange a program where we can combine sport and study. We already have a lot of experience in tennis. The idea is to offer an opportunity to young people to be able to get involved in the padel while following a school program.

For next year, we hope to have a dozen players.

The difference with tennis is that there is no prospect for the moment of going to play in the USA. We are on the long term by professionalizing you thoroughly on the padel to the ferry.

We also have the ambition to go further with this university / padel. A curriculum padel university: one obtains a diploma while continuing to train physically and padel. "

Gather the best

“Thanks to the quality of the infrastructure, we can see far. What if we offered a site where the best French players could meet to train professionally?

And that's what we're going to do next year. We have a large reception capacity and a complete sports infrastructure.

The idea is to regularly bring together around ten players where training is combined padel and physical labor.

They will be offered a very professional environment. Our experience in tennis will be put at the service of the padel. The players who come to us will work like professionals.

We will use the experience of tennis and we will adapt it to the padel. We are very efficient on the tournament experience, physical part.

Involve people from abroad too

"At the level padelistics, first of all, we already have competent people within the team. But we could involve foreign players and coaches as well.

To increase the level, we must create an emulation for the padel. The best players in the same place, make them work technically, tactically, physically.

Find collaborations with foreigners as well and take advantage of their expertise. We do that sometimes in tennis. In the padel with Spain which is not so far away, we will have the possibility of doing great things.

These two courses come together with an idea: create a hub for the best French players in padel. "
