The French Tennis Federation (FFT) and Premier Padel, the official world circuit of padel managed by the International Federation of Padel (FIP), supported by the Professional Association of Padel (PPA) and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), are proud to announce that Stade Roland-Garros will host the " Paris Premier Padel Major from July 11 to 17, 2022, as part of a multi-year agreement.

This premier event will showcase the fastest growing sport in the world.

The " Paris Premier Padel Major is the first Major category tournament announced in Europe and the second Major announced within the framework of the official circuit Premier Padel, supported by the professional players of the PPA and organized under the governance of the FIP. Held in the historic Stade Roland-Garros, the “Major” will offer players and spectators an unprecedented premium experience around a spectacular professional sport.

This competition, which will bring together the elite of the discipline, will offer players 2 ranking points and a record prize pool.

With the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Premier Padel this week and the organization of this Major, the FFT is becoming a key partner and player in the padel on the international scene. It is also involved in the development of padel at all levels in France, where this sport is booming with already 280 practitioners.

Premier Padel will organize at least ten new tournaments, including four "Major" events in 2022 and 2023. The final of the first of them, the Ooredoo Qatar Major 2022, is played today (live in France on beIN SPORTS and the channel youtube from Premier Padel). From 2024, the circuit Premier Padel plans to hold at least 25 tournaments across all of its categories to appeal to fans on five continents.
