The FFT announces the opening of its very first National Training Center Padel for September 2025. This center will be located in Vichy, within the Sporting Club of Vichy Community, in the immediate vicinity of the CREPS Auvergne-Rhône-AlpesThe aim of this project is to create a real hub of performance and excellence for padel in France. It is part of the FFT's desire to improve the training and access to the high level, in order to make padel a major sport in France.

Le National Training Center Padel, the result of the collaboration between the FFT et Vichy Community, aims to bring together and support young hopefuls from 12 to 18 years old, by offering them a training enabling them to achieve excellence.

This project involves the construction of 12 padel courts, including 6 indoors and 6 outdoors. The work, which began in 2023, also includes the renovation of the tennis courts already existing. The choice of the site of Vichy responds to a responsible and sustainable approach, based on existing infrastructure.

On boarders from the center will benefit from ultra-modern facilities du CREPS, recently renovated. Located in an exceptional setting, the latter offers poles an accommodation, F&B, as well as a pole health and performance including a space of recuperation, a space of a physical training and medical Center.

Le National Training Center Padel will also aim to train the high level coaches, to host the internships of French teams of discipline, and to organize international competitions.

Vichy represents an ideal opportunity, thanks to the high quality and modernity of its CREPS, as well as the sports infrastructure that the city offers,” explains Gilles Moreton, President of the French Tennis Federation.

Le paddle is experiencing strong growth in France. The number of practitioners continues to increase, reaching today more than 500 players (compared to 366 in 000, 2022 in 260 and 000 in 2021), including more than 70 padel licensees (2024 sports season). France now has 2 padel courts distributed in 808 clubs and private structures.
