Before the Estrella Damm Alicante Open from World Padel Tour, several French and French women will compete in the FIP Star Elche: 3 girls, and 7 boys!

At the girls

Several level teams World Padel Tour will be present at this FIP Star in Elche. The proof, Laura Clergue and Léa Godallier, yet 25th pair in the WPT, are not even seeded! By chance of the draw, they face each other from the start Tamara Icardo (23 WPT) and Sandra Hernandez (23 WPT) !

A clash against the number 2 seed from the round of 1, the 16% French pair would necessarily have dreamed of a better score, but we imagine that Icardo and Hernandez too! A very big entry match, this Friday at 9 p.m., the spectators will be delighted!

The other Frenchwoman presents, Melissa Martin, who plays this tournament with the young Carla Castillo Velarde (179 WPT), was a little more spared in the draw. The Franco-Spanish pair will have a big game to play this Friday at 10h, facing the Portuguese pair Ribeiro (104 WPT) / Fernandes (91 WPT).

In boys

As with girls, many pairs of the World Padel Tour will be present in Elche, just before the World Padel Tour Alicante Open. And again, the 100% French pair inherited the number 2 seed of the tournament...

Like Laura and Léa, Benjamin Tison and Jérémy Scatena will therefore have a big entry match, in the sixteenth, against Barahona / Moya Sos, a pair that have already made main draws in the WPT this season! The meeting will take place Friday at 11:30 am.

Just like Tison / Scatena, we also find Johan Bergeron and his WPT partner, Victor Mena Gil in the main table. They inherit the pair, Christian Ramos Abad (184 WPT) / Sergio Icardo Alcorisa (85 WPT). They start at 9am Friday.

The 4 other French people present therefore start their tournament Wednesday, in the first round of previa. In the program : Sfez / Rosell vs Lopez Guichot / Saez Verdu at 11h then Le Panse / Sanchez vs Guiral Mallart / Alos Boal and Leygue / Trancart vs Martinez Sanchez / Sager Nagel, at 12h !

The first rounds against teams that do not really compete in the WPT, so difficult to know what to expect. Anyway, the French will have to whip if they want to enter the main draw of this FIP Star, since there is 5 laps of previa to pass to reach the 1/16 finals!
