In France his name will only speak to football insiders but in South America, Alex Aguinaga (on the right white t-shirt) is a legend with 109 caps with the Ecuadorian national team, 23 goals, many years of captaincy who l 'will lead to the 2002 World Cup.

He was named by the Mexican newspaper El Universal as one of the five best foreign players in the Mexican championship where he played for many years.

Aguinaga is pictured in Quito with Reinaldo Romero, one of Ecuador's greatest sports journalists.
