Although the technique of padel is not very complicated, and that you learn relatively quickly (this will always depend on the skills of each player, their level of effort, and their desire to learn). And until you fully understand, you may recognize some common technical errors in padel among amateur players.

The vast majority of these failures are related to a bad placement on the field, not knowing how to move, you make sudden movements to reach the ball.

In this column, we will list the common mistakes of the technique of padel among amateur players:

  • A classic for novice players at padel consists of staying static on the pitch, not moving during the match, and staying still “to see the balls coming”. And at padel, if you don't know how to move inside the field, you're in trouble. You should therefore practice well especially in the footwork, otherwise you risk losing countless balls by not hitting them. Thus, you will be in awkward positions, without being able to make a good strike, and generate bad returns most of the time.
  • On the return, you can miss techniques in the beginners players, and we must fix them immediately, because a good service can become decisive.
  • Another typical mistake of lack of technique among amateur players is insufficient body support after impact. Here, players will have to be able to get it in their heads that a padel it's not just the arm, it's the whole body that has to do a specific task.

  • Do not feel the right impact zone of your racket (which differs depending on whether you have a round racket, drop of water or diamond). When a player does not hit the ball in the heart of the impact zone, it deflects the ball from the direction desired by the player.
  • Poor racket position when performing a volley is also a sign of poor technique among amateur players. This is because when you hold your racquet, the racquet should not go straight down or have the headscrew at wrist height. You need to have a strong wrist to keep the screen almost "parallel" to the net.

There are other technical details that the players of padel do not master, but to master the technique and the game, it takes a lot of will, and many hours of training on the field. So all these little failures will be resolved in the blink of an eye.
