The International Federation of Padel (FIP), in collaboration with Premier Padel, has announced the official FIP ranking points scale for the 2025 season. This system will apply to Qatar Airways circuits Premier Padel Tour and CUPRA FIP Tour and will come into force from 3 February 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen competitiveness through a more dynamic structure, the result of in-depth consultations with key stakeholders: players, associations, promoters, sponsors and broadcasters.

FIP World Cup Pairs

The brand new tournament FIP World Cup Pairs, the first edition of which will take place in November 2025, will award 2 FIP ranking points for the winners et 1 points for the finalists.

Premier Padel Tour

Several changes have been made to the points scale for the 2025 season:

  • Le Premier Padel Tour will retain current points distribution for Major, P1 and Qatar Airways Finals tournaments Premier Padel.
  • The value of P2 tournaments is increasing, with now 600 FIP points awarded to the winners.
  • Additional points will be awarded in the first rounds of P1 and P2 tournaments.
  • New scales have been introduced for the qualification phases of the different tournament categories.

FIP Tour

The 2025 season will also see developments for the CUPRA FIP Tour :

  • Introduction of four new categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
  • Some categories will benefit from an increase in the points allocated.
  • The winners of the FIP Platinum tournaments will receive 300 point, those of FIP Gold 150 point and the winners of the FIP Finals 225 point.

Qualifications and main tables

In addition to the new points system, the FIP and Premier Padel have made official the new formats of the main draws and qualifications for the Major, P1 and P2 tournaments of the 2025 season, concerning the men's and women's categories.

Standard formats for Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tower are:

  • Major Tournaments :
    • Men: 48 pairs (main draw) et 24 pairs (qualifications)
    • Women: 40 pairs (main draw) et 16 pairs (qualifications)
  • P1 tournaments :
    • Men: 40 pairs (main draw) et 24 pairs (qualifications)
    • Women: 28 pairs (main draw) et 16 pairs (qualifications)
  • P2 tournaments :
    • Men: 28 pairs (main draw) et 24 pairs (qualifications)
    • Women: 24 pairs (main draw) et 16 pairs (qualifications)

Some tournaments may modify these formats with qualifications limited to 16 pairs for men and 8 for women.

These adjustments are the result of consultations carried out throughout the 2024 season to ensure a more competitive structure in 2025.
