The TSBV association club (Tennis, Squash, Badminton, Padel Valenciennes) will host its first P1000 tournament on September 6, 7, and 8. Between 30 and 40 teams are expected to compete for victory and the prize money reserved for the winners.
Among the participants, several players from the top 100 will be present, including Lilian Fouré (39th), recent winner of the P1000 of Sète on August 18, in a duo with Pierre Destombes (59th). They will have to face other formidable teams, such as the pair composed of Étienne Brouillard (53rd), winner of the last regional championship and the P1000 La Pala, and Adrien Dandois (51st), to name but a few.
Match format:
- Friday : Qualifying groups in C1 format
- On Saturday: 1/16th, 1/8th and 1/4 finals in B1 format
- Sunday: Semi-finals and final in A1 format
Grégoire Delbove, tournament director, explains: "We hope to reach 40 teams. To launch the tournament, a party with a DJ will be organized on Friday evening. The restaurant will remain open all weekend."
