Be careful, you don't count your points like the players of the World Padel Tour for example. Yes, the padel is counted in France as doubles in tennis. So be careful not to make a mistake when counting points in a tournament. padel approved by the French Tennis Federation (FFT).

Point format:

The calculation of the score is the same as in tennis: 15, 30, 40, game, set, match.

A match is played in two winning sets. At 40 everywhere: application of the decisive point (the team which wins the point wins the game).

At 40 everywhere, the receiving team then chooses which side it will receive this seventh point of the game.

Obviously the raisers can not change their position to receive this decisive point. The team that wins the decisive point wins the game.

Officially, in mixed games, the receiver must have the same gender as the server. This rule is strange because there is not yet the possibility of homologating mixed tournaments at the FFT.

Format of sets:

There are 2 ways to count:

1 / Two sets of 6 games, super decisive game in case of 3e set

If both teams arrive at 6 / 6, a tie-break will be played. The first seven points with two points difference, wins the set. In case of a tie at 6 / 6 or 7 / 6 the decisive game continues until one team takes a two-point lead

3e set: Super decisive game (super tie-break)

In case of a tie at one set everywhere, a decisive 10 points bonus game will be played. The team that wins this super decisive game with 2 points of difference will win the game.

2 / A set of 9 games

The first team at 9 Games (with two games of difference) wins the match.

In case of 40A: application of the decisive point.

If both teams arrive at 8 / 8, a decisive game will be played. The first seven points with two points difference, wins the set.

Said on Decisive game or tie-break?

Decisive Game is the French translation of tie-break. Super tie-break is equal to the super decisive game. In Quebec to say tie-break, we say: broken equality ...
