Le padel at 4 should be authorized throughout Spain from this Monday 25 May. The different pressures of brands, World Padel Tour and the Spanish Federation of padel have certainly helped move the lines.

Le padel at 4 authorized following complaints?

It was initially planned that the padel to 4 is only authorized from phase 4. The world of padel then mobilized in Spain to try to change the mind of the Spanish government. And a priori, it is a great victory because Spain could well authorize tomorrow the resumption of padel at 4 if “clubs and players respect the rules of hygiene and distance".

Very good news for the economy of padel who suffered hard with this health crisis. Italy has already explained that it would allow the padel at 4 from Monday.

Faced with numerous complaints, the government had to back down. The new provision of the Ministry of Health (decree SND / 440/2020 of May 23) “relaxes existing restrictions on group training and sports that do not require physical contact, such as tennis, which "significantly" affects sport in phases 1 and 2 of de-escalation of containment due to the coronavirus pandemic ”.

Clearly, the padel at 4 could be authorized again but respecting drastic sanitary standards. Spanish players and clubs welcomed this news with joy, although “standards will be difficult to follow on Monday“. Indeed, it will be necessary to invest for the clubs to respect “All health rules“, But also and above all, the players of padel should be particularly applied to be in the nails.

And France?

For now, the French Tennis Federation has not made any announcements. The padel to 2 is still not allowed, so the padel at 4… However at the beginning of June, we should be able to move to 4 at last.

The FFT must face a wave of discontent on the part of the actors of the padel French who wonder about the padel so decried in France when we see our crowded beaches and our subways packed to capacity.

Clubs, brands and players do “do not understand the position of the FFT while the countries bordering on France relax the rules to play padel".

The college of scientific experts was clear on its recommendations and probably still believes today that the padel at 4 is still a risky sport.
