The offer of padel in France is totally unequal. For example, the region formerly Nord-Pas-de-Calais currently has 11 private structures offering padel, for 41 courts, while the region formerly Champagne-Ardennes has only one private center for a single site.

We also wanted to know the distribution of padel between tennis clubs and private structures. On the site " padelmagazine "[1], we found this breakdown:

Including the number of lots for each one, we get about 140 fields in the tennis clubs and 250 in the private centers, which represents a percentage distribution of 64% - 36% in favor of the private centers.

We also wonder why there are so many outdoor courts in tennis clubs. The reason is that an outdoor pitch costs a lot less, however this is not very consistent especially in rainy regions. When we look at the table of outdoor land according to region, we can see that several regions in the North of France are concerned:

This table dates from the 17 May 2017. It should be noted that it has changed somewhat since then. For example, in the Hauts-de-France region, there are now 5 outdoor fields.

Regarding competitions, there are several categories of tournament that are described in Padel Magazine[1]. The allocation of the tournament category is according to a scale of endowment value (prize money) and the respect of a minimum of teams entered. In addition, the structures must offer three tournaments: men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Here is the table described in this article:
