After refusing the two scenarios proposed by the World Padel Tour, the players proposed theirs, which was immediately accepted.

Miguel Lamperti announced it : the WPT could resume at the end of the month, with a tournament in Madrid, and ultimately ten dates, out of the 17 initially planned. Fewer tournaments therefore necessarily less income. And with a recovery looming behind closed doors, it's even less money that will go into the coffers of World Padel Tour.

Players will therefore also earn less money in 2020. After having refused the two WPT proposals, the players managed to negotiate a new agreement which first provides that they will only touch 50% of the prize money initially planned for tournaments to be held behind closed doors.

Furthermore, if the World Padel Tour manages to organize 10 tournaments or more, players will forgo the bonuses distributed to them at the end of the season, i.e. € 10 for players in the Top 000, € 10 for those between 7th and 500th place, and so on, for a total of € 11.

On the other hand, if the WPT cannot achieve these 10 dates, then it will pay a penalty to players for each tournament not performed, or € 45 in total.
