The rule of service at padel is sometimes controversial on certain amateur and professional matches. here is a few lines what you must do for a service within the standards.
We have all heard on the pitch of the players saying "you are a little high". This rule is a bit difficult to judge or penalize without a referee.
Here is exactly the rule of service.
- At the moment of the ball striking, at least one foot should be in contact with the ground, and should be behind the line (do not bite it).
- The shot must be shot below the horizontal line of the belt.
- The ball may be struck beyond the vertical line of service.

Another question: can we do an amortized service?
Hello and thank you for this info.
Another question: when the feet stay behind the line, can the ball bounce and be hit on the other side of that line?
Hello, no the rebound has to take place behind the end line. On the other hand, after the rebound, the ball can cross the line as long as at the moment of the strike the two feet do not touch the squares.
Hello, it seems that both players returning from service should be behind the service line. True or false ?
True 🙂
Yet in the regulations it is marked: the two players returning from service can position themselves anywhere in his camp. Also, when you answered TRUE, is that more tactical or is it really the rule?
You're absolutely right.
In fact the players who do not serve and do not return are placed where they want on their part of the field.
On the other hand, the server as the returner must remain behind their service line. The server can advance after hiring and the returner will be able to go on the fly after returning. 🙂
