The Sporting Club de Cassis inaugurated two padel. In an exceptional setting, this young club led by Aurélien Grandmont, has put the small dishes in the big ones. A P500 ladies, the arrival of Bastien Blanqué and Jérémy Scatena, all this in a single weekend suggests great ambitions for the future of this club.

For the occasion, the club organized classes on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with Bastien Blanqué and Jérémy Scatena, especially from Spain. Little rest for the two champions since the formula was very popular with local players.

On Saturday afternoon, more than 200 spectators gathered around a spectacular exhibition between Bastien Blanqué, Jérémy Scatena, Pier Gauthier and Aurélien Grandmont, commented by Line Meites still at ease at the microphone.

Young and old were able to hit the ball and listen to the advice of the champions, all under a bright sun. The day ended with a speech by the Mayor of Cassis and elected representatives of the FFT.

P500 ladies

In parallel, the club organized a ladies' P500 which brought together 18 teams between Wednesday and Sunday. It was a great success for this first tournament which took place in a superb atmosphere thanks to the whole team of sporting and partners who allowed the players to be accommodated throughout the weekend.

The number-one seed 1 Ginier / Sorel won in a final 7 / 5 6 / 4 hanging face the local pair Lovera / Casanova despite a large audience acquired in the cause of Carol Ann and Audrey. Note the progress of this team.

There is no doubt that we will soon hear about this very active club. A third field is planned for September as well as the creation of an academy for children, including physical and mental preparation and coaching. Everything will be implemented for the development of the child through sport and in particular padel. Beginning of the courses from April 08, possible in half-day or full day.

The team is composed of Aurelien Grandmont, coach of the club, and Lise Franc.
