The French team of padel 2019 has been unveiled by the French Tennis Federation. The Blues will leave for Rome from November 4 to 9 for the European Championships of Padel.

The ladies team: Ready for a great adventure

First observation: Mai Vo will not be part of the 2019 gang. The fault is a nasty injury. During the French championships of padel, we realized that it was still far from its best level. The coach did not want to take the risk of selecting the Feaugas / Vo pair.

Nevertheless, Amélie Feaugas does not pay the price since she is, in our opinion, logically selected. And she will play with Mélissa Martin. On paper, the coach seems to try a blow and why not create a new association?

The pair Vandaele / Soubrié was also selected. Good news for this young pair who was shaped largely by Patrick Fouquet. Remember, it is he who will advise the players to change sides ... A winning change!

We also find the pair Godallier / Clergue. Patrick Fouquet had already tried this choice last year in Paraguay. He renews this option.

Of course, one of the players we do not see in this French selection is our young and promising player: Fiona Ligi. A player who has shown very beautiful things and we will not see in Rome. But it is certain that we will see it in the team France if it continues its evolution.

The selected pairs of ladies:

  • Alix Collombon (ARA) / Jessica Ginier (ARA)
  • Léa Godallier (NVA) / Laura Clergue (HDF)
  • Melissa Martin (NVA) / Amelie Feaugas (NVA)
  • Marianne Vandaele (OCC) / Charlotte Soubrié (OCC)

No surprises in the gentlemen.

This choice of the captain gentlemen, Alexis Salles is logical. For many months, he gave us tracks on his future team. He wanted to bet on both stability and at the same time give a promising young player a chance.

Thomas Leygue in the Team Padel France ? With whom ?

And so we see the Ritz / Leygue pair, the experience with youth and enthusiasm ... Certainly Thomas Leygue is only 17 years old and we will find him next week for the World Youth but he has already acquired a lot of experience in padel the last two years. Jérémy Ritz also has a big mind on the pitch and he will know how to carry Thomas in hot moments. She will be the 4th pair of the France team. Against the best nations, the coach has already said that there were 3 pairs in front who were difficult to replace.

It must be said that in front, there are 6 players who participate in World Padel Tour.

A little thought to Maxime Moreau who has a huge talent, but who pays his inconstancy at a high price. Not really disappointment for Max so.

  • Bastien Blanqué (ARA) / Johan Bergeron (ARA)
  • Benjamin Tison (IDF) / Adrien Maigret (IDF)
  • Jérémy Scatena (EDG) / Robin Haziza (GDE)
  • Jeremy Ritz (PACA) / Thomas Leygue (PACA)
These 16 players will form the French team of padel  which will play in Rome (Italy), the XNUMXth European Championships of padel.
