Fede Chingotto is a regular at finals at Paris Premier Padel since the creation of the event in 2022. Indeed, it has reached the final every year, but has not yet managed to win the title.

In 2022, Chingotto, then associated with Juan Tello, lost in the final against the Lebron/Galan pair after a battle in three sets (3/6 6/4 4/6). The following year, with Paquito Navarro as partner, he failed again, this time against Coello/Tapia: 7/6 (2) 6/1.

Defeat the curse

For the 2024 season, Chingotto returns to Paris with a new partner, Alejandro Galán. This pair, composed with the one who beat him in 2022, is in great shape. She shares the titles with Coello/Tapia and leaves crumbs for the other teams. Since training for P2 in Puerto Cabello, Chingotto and Galán have reached the final of every tournament they have participated in, with 5 wins in 9 appearances.

Expectations to see Chingotto in the final in Paris will be high. Although the sport remains unpredictable, Chingotto and Galán will be considered favorites. The draws could even allow a new confrontation in the final against Coello/Tapia, these two teams being the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds.

A new finals classic?

In terms of past confrontations, Coello/Tapia faced Chingotto in the final of the Premier Padel on 11 occasions, winning 7 times. In 2024, the balance is 4 victories for each pair. However, Chingotto and Galán won their last clash against Coello/Tapia in the semi-final at P2 in Seville.

The two pairs could meet again in future tournaments, with Madrid P1 scheduled for August 31 to September 8, followed by Rotterdam P1 from September 7 to 15. If the teams' performances continue, these events could mark the finals 12, 13 and 14 between Chingotto and his partners against Coello / Tapia, making these confrontations a classic of the circuit.
