There will be no title for  Thomas Leygue  this week at  FIP Bronze Castellón Associated with his former partner  Aris Patiniotis The Frenchman lost in the final against the Spanish.  Daniel Luna Peinado / Nacho Moragues Moltó , seeded 4th in the tournament, with a score of  7 / 6 7 / 6 .

A frustrating defeat as the match was decided by a few details, but one that should not overshadow the good tournament achieved by the Franco-Argentine pair.

 Two fatal tie-breaks 

The final was a close contest for a long time between two teams that displayed a very high level of play.

In the first set, Leygue and Patiniotis kept pace against Spaniards who had been particularly confident since the start of the week.

The set was finally decided in a tie-break, where the Spaniards tightened their game at the best moment to take the advantage.

The tide then seemed to turn in favor of the eventual winners. Playing very aggressively, they broke quickly in the second set and took a comfortable lead.  5/2 .

With their backs against the wall, Leygue and Patiniotis refused to give up. The Frenchman and the Argentinian regained their intensity, broke back, and then leveled the score to force another tie-break.

But once again, the Spanish proved stronger in the decisive moments and prevailed.  7 points to 5  to conclude the match in two sets.

 An encouraging week for Leygue 

Despite losing the final, Thomas Leygue leaves Castellón with a positive takeaway.

The Frenchman needed results and confidence, and this tournament allowed him to regain both.

With Aris Patiniotis, the automatic reflexes quickly returned and the performances were there throughout the week.

After a controlled opening ( 6 / 4 6 / 2 ), the pair confirmed their place in the quarter-finals ( 6 / 2 7 / 6 ) before securing a very impressive victory in the semi-final against the 3rd seed  Miguel Morales / Luis Oliver Artigas  on the score of  6/4 2/6 7/6 .

These matches allow Leygue to regain rhythm and good sensations as he approaches a major event.

 Heading for Italy Major 

No time to catch their breath for either player.

Starting tomorrow, Thomas Leygue and Aris Patiniotis will be in Rome to compete in the  Italy Major qualifications , where they will be among the favorites with their status of  seeded 2 .

The objective will be clear: to reach the main draw and collect valuable FIP points in one of the most prestigious tournaments of the season.

 A great title for Luna Peinado and Moragues Moltó 

On their side,  Daniel Luna Peinado  et  Nacho Moragues Moltó  concluding a perfect week.

The Spanish took full advantage of the early elimination of the top seed to open their own draw. After notably dominating  Miguel Ángel Solbes / Christian Fuster  In the semi-final, they confirmed their form in the final against Leygue and Patiniotis.

A well-deserved title at the end of a tournament where they displayed an impressive level of play and great resilience in key moments.
