The qualification of  Thomas Leygue and Jesús Moya  for the final of  FIP Bronze Bamvolea Ciudad Raqueta  This should have been excellent news. But it will have a direct consequence for the Frenchman:  He will not be able to participate in the Madrid P1 qualifiers. , scheduled for the same day as the FIP Bronze final.

This situation provoked anger from the Frenchman, who did not hesitate to point the finger.  the organization of the FIP calendar / Premier Padel  on his social networks.

A place in Madrid P1 that ultimately proved impossible to secure.

Initially placed on an individual waiting list,  Thomas Leygue was given a second chance and was supposed to participate in the Madrid P1 qualifiers with Ferran Insa The pair entered the draw, but in the meantime, the Frenchman continued his run at the FIP Bronze, also held in Madrid.

With  Jesus Moya Leygue reached the final after four straight-set victories, including two impressive performances against...  seeds 3 and 1 .

The problem is that the FIP Bronze final and the start of the Madrid P1 qualifiers overlap. Therefore, it's impossible for the Frenchman to be present at both competitions.

"This severely penalizes the players in the qualifying rounds."

Still in the heat of the moment, Leygue took to his social media and did not hide his incomprehension.

For him, the problem goes far beyond his personal case. He believes that this programming  directly penalizes players likely to compete in tournament qualifiers Premier Padel , while both circuits are organized under the auspices of the FIP.

"I find it shameful. It penalizes the players in the qualifiers enormously."

The Frenchman particularly regrets that a  FIP organized in Madrid ends on the same day that the Premier Padel Madrid A situation that could inevitably affect players involved in both competitions.

Leygue also points out that the problem was foreseeable and that, in his opinion, an adjustment to the schedule would have been possible.

"They could very well have started the Madrid P1 on Sunday and there would have been no problem."

Leygue points to a broader scheduling problem

The Frenchman also mentions the  Mediterranean Games , finished just before the start of the Madrid P1, and believes that the overall sequence of competitions did not sufficiently take into account the players involved in the qualifications.

His message is clear: while  FIP Tour and Premier Padel belong to the same international ecosystem Leygue does not understand how schedules can place players in a situation where completing one tournament automatically prevents them from participating in the next.

A particularly strong statement, with Leygue going so far as to describe the situation as  "puta vergüenza" , literally a "fucking shame".

"Madrid, for me, is home."

The frustration is all the greater because this tournament had a special significance for  Thomas Leygue .

Having lived in Madrid for several years, the Frenchman considers the Spanish capital his second home and hoped to be able to participate in this  Madrid P1 .

"I won't be able to participate in a tournament that's very important to me, because Madrid is home to me."

Leygue himself admits to having reacted  "Hot" , but his outburst raises a real scheduling problem for players navigating between  Cupra FIP Tour and qualifying Premier Padel .

For the Frenchman, it's now time to refocus on the sport. If he has to give up on Madrid P1, it's because he still has a final to play with  Jesus Moya  and the opportunity to go for a title at the FIP Bronze in Madrid.
