Timéo Fonteny is expected to soon play alongside Spaniard Nacho Moragues Moltò on the international circuit. This new partnership between two very young players is one to watch closely: the Frenchman just turned 19, while his future partner is only 21. With Moragues having already reached the world's top 100 and Fonteny continuing his rapid rise, the pairing appears particularly promising.
However, a degree of caution will be necessary. On the international circuit, partnerships can change rapidly depending on results, rankings, and opportunities. But everything indicates today that Timéo Fonteny and Nacho Moragues Moltò are expected to embark on this adventure together. .
For Fonteny, this choice would mark a new stage in a 2026 season where the Frenchman has continued to progress and multiply experiences with several partners.
Fonteny, 19 years old and already a first FIP title
Born the March 18, 2007 in Antibes Timéo Fonteny is only 19 years old. In the rankings published by the FIP in August 2026, he has 404 points and this season achieved his best career ranking with a 138th place in the world The International Federation also records 27 wins and 18 losses in 2026.
But the highlight of his season probably remains his first title on the FIP Tour .
In June, Fonteny won at FIP Bronze of Ljubljana , in Slovenia, alongside the Swede Albin Olsson The pair notably beat Antonio Luque and Pedro Perry in the final, 7/5 6/4.
This victory also illustrates an interesting development in his young career: Fonteny is no longer working exclusively with a French partner and is beginning to multiply international associations.
He thus played this season with Yoan Boronad , but also with Johan Bergeron or Albin Olsson. With Bergeron, he notably participated in the FIP Platinum in Marseille and in several international events.
At 19, the Frenchman continues to accumulate experiences and different configurations.
Moragues, only 21 years old and already in the top 100
On the other side, Nacho Moragues Moltò presents a particularly interesting profile.
Born the May 4, 2005 in Valence The Spaniard is only 21 years old. Yet, he has already reached the 96th place in the world , his best career ranking. As of August 17, 2026, he holds the 120th in the world with 490 points .
His experience therefore far exceeds what his age would suggest.
The 2026 season notably saw him reach the final rounds of the FIP Tour several times: final of the FIP Bronze from Rivesaltes , final of FIP Silver of Bari , victory at FIP Bronze of Castellón , final of FIP Silver of Bandol or even the round of 16 at the FIP Platinum tournament held in Portugal.
His title in Castellón is particularly significant.
Associated to daniel moon Moragues had won the tournament without losing a single set. In the final, the Spaniards had dominated Aris Patiniotis and Thomas Leygue after two tie-breaks. This was the Moragues' sixth FIP Tour title , but from its first in 2026.
Two finals this season in France
Moragues is also already very familiar with French tournaments, having reached two finals in France in 2026 .
The first one took place in April at FIP Bronze from Rivesaltes alongside Manuel Aragón Herrera. The Spanish pair, seeded 5th, had reached the final before losing.
A few weeks later, Moragues found himself in a French final at the FIP Silver of Bandol , this time with Daniel Luna.
The two Spaniards arrived in Var after their title win in Castellón.
They eventually reached the final, before losing to Ignacio Archieri and Jaume Romera Barceló , 6/7 6/4 6/1.
Two finals on French soil in the space of a few months, therefore, but still no title for Moragues in France.
Fonteny and Moragues were still opponents in Bandol
The association also has a little history, as the two players found themselves in the same bracket of the FIP Silver of Bandol in June.
Fonteny was then associated with Yoan Boronad , while Moragues played with Daniel Luna. The two pairs were among the 5th and 3rd seeds respectively in the main draw.
So they were still opponents at the beginning of the summer.
A few weeks later, the two young players should find themselves on the same side of the track.
Two different paths, but the same generation
Perhaps that's what makes this association particularly interesting.
Timéo Fonteny is 19 years old. Nacho Moragues has 21. Neither has yet reached their full sporting maturity, but both already possess real experience on the international circuit.
Fonteny is progressing rapidly, having won his first FIP tournament this season and starting to approach the world's top 100. Moragues has already reached that level and has more experience on the circuit, with several titles to his name and finals appearances in categories above Bronze.
It is still too early to know if this partnership will last. The way the circuit operates and the frequent changes in partners suggest that we should not draw hasty conclusions.
But on paper, Fonteny / Moragues has something intriguing about it: two players aged 19 and 21, already performing well on the FIP Tour, but with considerable room for improvement.
For Timéo Fonteny, playing with a player who has already reached the world's top 100 could represent a new step in his learning of the international circuit.
