It's a first for padel in Eastern Europe: the city of Timișoara is organizing a FIP Silver tournament from May 26 to June 1, 2025, bringing together more than 60 teams from 20 countries, on the courts of Padel center.

Among the headliners, several world-ranked players will be present, including Ramiro Moyano, Miguel Oliveira, Antonio Fernandez and Dante Luchetti.

Romania will be well represented with several local pairs qualifying directly for the main draw, notably Bruno Perescu who will team up with Miguel Oliveira.

In the women's competition, Raluca Sandu (formerly ranked 68th in the world in tennis), now a member of Monaco, will play alongside Argentina's Nela Brito.

We will also find a French pair in the qualifications: Romain Sichez and Bilal Duprat, seeded number 12 in the preliminary draw.

The main matches will begin on Friday at 10 a.m., with live coverage on FIP and Qub TV. Admission will be free for spectators on site.

This tournament marks a turning point in the development of padel in Romania, which officially enters the international professional padel circuit.
