After a great performance in the first round,  Carla Toully  et  Jessica Ginier  failed to confirm this Monday in Bordeaux against the number 8 seed in the qualifications,  Lucia Peralta Exposito  et  Lorena Vano The French women lost 6/4 6/1 in the second round, just outside the main draw.

 A close first set, but a decisive break 

The match started somewhat hazy on both sides, with a few unforced errors on both sides. Touly and Ginier tried to impose their rhythm, but their opponents gradually found the key. By regularly targeting Carla Touly with tight lobs, Peralta and Vano managed to  neutralize French aggression .

At 4/4, the Spanish made the break at the perfect moment, before  conclude the set 6/4  after 32 minutes.

 The French women are powerless in the second set 

At the start of the second set, the French gave up their serve.  The dynamic is clearly on the Spanish side , and the solidity of Peralta and Vano in defense makes the difference. They cover the court well, string together precise lobs and prolong the rallies, forcing Ginier and Touly into errors.

Result:  32 unforced errors for the French , against only 13 for their opponents. Despite  30 winning points , Ginier and Touly failed to reverse the trend, logically losing 6/1 in the second set.

 The sequel for Touly 

Despite this elimination, the week remains positive for both players, who showed a very good level in the first match. Carla Touly will bounce back very quickly, since she is announced for next week.  at the FIP Silver in Narbonne , alongside the Spanish  Camila Fassio Goyeneche .
