Le  Madrid P1  marks the resumption of the circuit Premier Padel, and on the French side, things are starting off rather well.  Carla Toully  et  Léa Godallier  both advanced through their first round of qualifying. As a result, they are now one win away from a spot in the main draw.

Touly and Arellano, already accomplices

First tournament together and already automatisms for  Carla Toully  and the Spanish  Marta Arellano Navarro . Opposed to  Paula Ferrán Díaz / Carla Serrano González , they signed a serious match, concluded 6/3 6/2.
A first set to settle in, then a controlled second set, with Touly playing very cleanly and Arellano striking with her smash. A great way to kick off their shared adventure.
But tomorrow, it goes up a notch: they will challenge the  seeded 2 in the qualifiers ,  Agueda Pérez Ortiz (44th) / Marta Borrero Fernández (50th) . Not favorites, but clearly capable of shaking up this pair, especially since their opponents suffered in the first round. See you  10h on court 1 .

Godallier and Carnicero in confidence

Léa Godallier  also teamed up for the first time with the Spanish  Esther Butcher , and the sauce took immediately. Facing  Mónica Gómez Rivas / Carolina Navarro Björk , they held their own in a high-level first set, snatched in the tie-break, before rolling out the second: 7/6 6/1.
Now for the big part: the  seeded 1 ,  Sofia Saiz / Marina Lobo , who have already taken out Laura Buteau. A complicated mission, but Godallier and Carnicero arrive with a vengeance and know that a victory would give them  55 FIP points  and a place in the main draw. Match planned  in the wake of Touly , still on court 1.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
