The Tour de France of clubs begins its descent to the south. Finished the sea, it is towards the East that we are heading. From Châlons en Champagne to Strasbourg via Metz, here is step 13.

Do not be supersticious, this is only the number of a stage. Stage 13 of our Tour de France for clubs goes through more extraordinary regions than the others. Today the decor changes and it's worth a look.

Our stage begins at Chalons Champagne, town located in a wine region which owes its success to the Romans who planted the first vines. Maintained and developed by the clergy, champagne is today one of the pride of the region. The city is located in an area where chalk is still used today. Well communicated thanks to the Marne, Châlons was a strong city, protected by its stone ramparts in the Middle Ages to shelter its 106 hectares.

Our passage by Metz surprises us. This city has more than 2000 years of history and has known a large number of populations. Gauloise then Roman, Carolingian, Germanic then passing by the kingdom of France, it will become German to finally finish French after the second world war. Today it is a new city which is built around one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in France, the Saint-Etienne cathedral. Internet city since 2012, it wants to be a garden city by modifying its urban landscape.

Finally Strasbourg, end of our stage. Capital of the Alsace region, it borders on Germany. Wine region with the renowned “Alsace wines”, Strasbourg is a paradise for young and old when December comes. The Christmas market is an important event for the city which welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Symbol of Franco-German reconciliation, it considers itself the European capital by the presence of numerous institutions such as, among others, the European Parliament.

A beautiful region which mixes history, culture and gastronomy. The padel is not left out because there are 7 clubs and 16 tracks that flourish in town and in the countryside. If clubs and tracks do not appear in this list, please let us know at contact @padelmagazine.fr.
