The Tour de France of clubs enters the second city of France, Lyon. The Lyonnais is an active and dynamic region where padel does not remain in the background, quite the contrary.
A crossroads region between north and south, Lyonnais is located in the Rhône valley and is surrounded by 2 mountain ranges: the Massif Central and the Massif des Alpes. A strategic position for a Lyon which has more than 2000 years of history.
Former capital of the Gauls, then a strong financial and commercial center, Lyon has evolved and modified its activities over time: silk, textiles, biotechnologies or petrochemicals are part of the long list of skills in the city. With its rich cultural past, several districts of old Lyon and the famous Fourvière hill are classified by UNESCO.
Today the seat of Interpol, Lyon surprises and attracts visitors with its curiosities such as the astronomical clock of Saint John the Baptist cathedral, the various squares like that of Terreaux with its impressive fountain, or the Bouchons Lyonnais where can taste the typical regional dishes.
For a few years now, Lyon has also been turning to padel. There are 11 clubs and 25 tracks that we are going to discover or rediscover. If some clubs or tracks are missing, please let us know at contact@padelmagazine.fr
