There was no match. In a one-sided semi-final at Santiago Premier Padel P1, Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea (TS2) dominated the youngsters from start to finish Andrea Ustero and Alejandra Alonso, winning 6/1 6/2 in just 56 minutes.
Total domination by the favorites
The statistics don't lie: 28 winning points against 22, only 11 unforced errors against 29 for their opponents… Triay and Brea delivered a recital, mastering all areas of the game. Gemma Triay, untouchable on smashes, took full advantage of the fast conditions in Santiago, multiplying the par 3s, while Delfi Brea was surgical on the fly.
Opposite, the young Turks never found their rhythm. Neutralized in attack, they were put under constant pressure on their serve returns. Too many errors, too few solutions against an ultra-solid and experienced pair.

A pair on fire... and a fourth consecutive final
With this victory, Triay and Brea reach their 4th consecutive final in 2025. On the four tournaments they played this season, they have only lost one semi-final… and have won the other three (Gijón, Cancún and Miami)In Santiago, they have no lost no sets and only conceded 13 games in 3 matches. An impeccable run.
The limits of Ustero and Alonso in the face of the very highest level
Andrea Ustero and Alejandra Alonso, who were there disputing their second semi-final of the season after Gijón, were unable to match the intensity imposed by their elders. Last year, they had already reached this stage in Chile, but they still lack the consistency to reach a new level.
A little wink all the same: Delfi Brea and Andrea Ustero have already been partners, reaching the final of the Major of Paris last year. But since then, paths have diverged and Ustero has never beaten Brea before on the circuit.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
