Le Clermont Padel Club is organizing its first ever P1000 from January 3 to 5, 2025, and the field promises to be of quality to start this new year. However, Yoan Boronad et Timeo Fonteny will not play together in this tournament. Although they won the last P1000 of the year 2024 at Padel Central Perpignan The previous week, the two players continued their diversification strategy by playing with different partners, both in France and abroad, with a view to personal progression.
En seeded 1, Yoan Boronad (25) will be paired with another player from the south, Nicolas Molinero (22). There seeded 2 will highlight the left-hander Arthur Hugounenq (27), aligned with Thomas Seux (26). This duo will try to start 2025 on a good note in Clermont, but the competition will be tough, as is often the case in the south.
En seeded 3, we will find Timeo Fonteny associated to Louis Jover, a particularly dangerous pair. The seeded 4 will gather Baptiste Delvienne et Vincent Ferrara, which hopes to create a surprise, just like the seeded 5, where the powerful Damien Bayard (45) will play alongside the youngster Raphael Rubio (67)
La seeded 6 will be formed from an “old-fashioned” pair, with Remy Gourre et Jerome Ferrandez, the former physiotherapist of the French team. Finally, the seeded 7 will be closely followed, because it will bring together Olivier Guy de Chamisso et Tom Basso, a pair potentially capable of shaking up the favorites.
This inaugural tournament in Clermont Padel Club therefore promises to be exciting. Who will mark the start of this new year in style? Padel fans will have the answer from January 5.
