The group  Urban  confirms its ambitions in padel. Through a press release published on April 28, 2026, the brand specializing in urban sports and leisure announces a new phase of expansion, with a clear objective: to reach 300 padel courts in France by 2027.

A structured ramp-up

Historically a pioneer of 5-a-side football in France, Urban positioned itself on padel as early as 2014. Since then, the group has gradually built a solid network, to the point of becoming today a major player in Europe in these two activities.

Its development is now part of a global strategy driven by  Company of the Alps which supports the group's growth and strengthens its investment capabilities.

In this context, a new center will open in early May at  Lille  (Lesquin), marking a new stage in the networking of the territory.

Around twenty centers are being prepared

Urban doesn't plan to stop there. Nearly twenty new centers are currently under development over the next two years. Several cities have already been identified, including  Tours ,  Angers ,  Bezons ,  Ivry-sur-Seine  et  Bordeaux  .

The stated objective is ambitious: to progressively cover all French urban areas with more than 100,000 inhabitants.

Within 24 months, Urban plans to exceed 300 five-a-side football pitches… but also 300 padel courts, confirming its desire to establish itself permanently as a market leader.

A strategy also geared towards the international market

In parallel with its expansion in France, Urban is accelerating its international growth. The group recently acquired Luxembourg's leading padel center, Sport 4 Lux, and is continuing its development in Portugal, where it already operates a site in  Lisbon .

New projects are under consideration, both for 5-a-side football and padel, with a focus on establishing themselves in major European cities.

An enhanced customer experience

Beyond sports, Urban continues to enrich its offering with the deployment of its  Urban Sports Bar already present in several centers. A new opening is planned at  Defense accompanied by the launch of a restaurant on the Île de Puteaux.

The objective is clear: to transform clubs into true living spaces, where sports practice is accompanied by a friendly and social experience.
