UrbanSoccer is embarking on padel by launching UrbanPadel.

"The first before others"

The Urban centerPadel de Lille-Lezennes is the first to launch into the dance before certainly making children in other UrbanSoccer centers.

Since last January, 4 fields of padel joined the 11 five-a-side soccer fields of this enormous complex.

The strengths of this center are numerous with among others an XXL clubhouse, bar, catering, large TV screens, broadcast of football and tennis matches.

Stéphane Naessens, the manager padel of the center adds that the center is “perfectly operational for tournaments and for the game with wide spaces between fields and a height of 7,50 m to 8m"

J. Derrough who is also in charge of the development of padel at UrbanSoccer adds that “there will be trophies discovered padel by business sector: banks and insurance companies, car dealers, accountants, SS2I, women's week thus allowing the development of sport in the Urban centerPadel".

Empowered at the FFT, the center therefore organized its first Discovery Trophy Padel for tennis clubs in the region. The Lesquin Tennis Club was also present with particularly talented tennis players. No doubt we will find them in some tournaments padel In the region.

"A budget of 75.000 € for the year 2016"

Mr. Jean-Luc Ténédos, President of the Flanders tennis league was present and gave us his impressions on the development of the padel more generally in his league.

"The league of Flanders was the first to financially support the tennis clubs affiliated to the FFT and this will continue this year with a budget of 75.000 € to help the clubs"

If the private clubs are not affected by this measure, the league of Flanders reserves the possibility in certain cases and exclusively for future clubs authorized to the FFT, to obtain this financial aid. Nevertheless, this year's measure only concerns affiliated tennis clubs and not clubs or future clubs authorized by the FFT as well. So little disappointment for private even if the door does not seem closed.
