Andrea Ustero et Alejandra Alonso have marked this season with solid performances, including a final at the Dubai P1 earlier this year. They are the only pair outside the top 8 to reach the semi-finals in Milan, a feat that adds to their six semi-final appearances in 2024. Alonso, currently ranked 16th in the Race, must at least match the performance of Tamara Icardo in this tournament to ensure qualification for the Premier Padel Finals. If they win today, tomorrow's final will be decisive in determining the last ticket to the Finals. A victory in Milan would make Ustero the youngest champion in the history of the Premier Padel.
On their side, Delfina Brea et Bea González, with their experience, already have five titles in 2024, all won in P1 and P2 tournaments, including a victory at Milano P1 in 2023. This season, they have reached seven semi-finals in P1, with three defeats (Kuwait, Malaga and Acapulco). Over the year as a whole, they have played 12 semi-finals out of 16 tournaments played together. A victory in Milan would allow them to become the second most successful pair of the season, with six trophies.
Their face-to-face is final: 4 - 0 in favor of Brea and González. Will the young pair Ustero/Alonso manage to reverse the trend and secure their first victory against the third seeds? Or will Brea and González continue to assert their superiority?
