Être vegan or vegan is a lifestyle. Refusing to consume animal products is a choice. A choice compatible with the practice of padel ?

Each person is free to consume the products they want. By pure choice or sometimes by health obligations, vegans are also players of padel potentials. But is this diet really compatible with our sport?

Being vegan means not consuming animal products. We are of course talking about meat, fish, but also eggs, crustaceans, dairy products or honey.

If your diet consists of eating everything, and overnight you switch to the vegan diet, you will realize that it is not an easy diet because our body needs daily nutritional intake to function properly, and know the foods and their values will be part of your learning.

Yes it's possible

Having a vegan diet and doing high level sports is possible. If we look at tennis players, Djokovic, the sisters Williams and also Martina Navratilova are vegan. A lifestyle that may require a little more rigor, but that works like at home Carl Lewis the sprinter or even Daniel Negreanu the poker player. Everyone finds positive effects in this lifestyle.

Are we really omnivorous?

This is a question to ask yourself. For thousands of years the human body has had to adapt to the environment in which it lives. But if we compare ourselves to animals, we will find that the most powerful animals in the world are vegans: elephant, rhino, hippo or closer to us on gorilla. The gorilla is the epitome of incredible strength with a vegan diet.

If they can do it, so can I.

Watch out for this language. Of course you too can do it, but the advice is to get yourself supported in this new adventure. Replacing food of animal origin with food of plant origin is not easy. Eat rice integral, seeds, soybean and bananas will not be enough. Our body needs vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, fats and important daily energy contributions, especially if you practice an intense sporting activity.

So if you decide to go vegan, the days of opening the fridge and eating the first food are over. You will need to give your body the energy it needs every day, found in fruits, vegetables, and sometimes in food supplements.

And you, do you have a special diet?
