This Sunday, the club Padel House Bordeaux hosted the final of its first tournament P1000. Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Thomas Low imposed themselves against Raphaël Blond and Louis Younger in three sets: 7/6 (3), 5/7, 7/6 (1).

A balanced first set

The match began with a first set where both teams neutralized each other. Despite an opening break for Rubio and Jover, Guy de Chamisso and Basso quickly caught up with the score. Each pair then held their serve until the tie-breaker, won by Guy de Chamisso and Basso 7 / 6 (3).

A second set relaunched

In the second set, Guy de Chamisso and Basso took the lead at 4 - 3 with a break, but Rubio and Jover immediately responded by unbreaking. The latter then took the upper hand to win the set 7/5 and equalize at one set each.

A third set at the end of the suspense

The third set saw Rubio and Jover take an early lead with a break to lead 3 - 0. Guy de Chamisso and Basso managed to return to 4 - 3, then to take the advantage. 5 - 4, they get two match points, but Rubio and Jover save these chances and come back to 5 - 5.

When for his final tie-break, Guy de Chamisso and Basso showed solid form, winning the last six points to conclude at 7 / 6 (1).

A first successful association

This victory marks a good performance for Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Thomas Basso, who were playing together for the first time. “It was a very hard-fought match. Winning this kind of encounter for a first association is a satisfaction,” said Guy de Chamisso.
