We are launching a new column: “What I blame my partner at padel".

The first to launch this column are the French champions of padel in title, Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron.

A pair that despite some contrary winds have coped.

BUT, what interests us here is to try to put oil on the fire ...

Batien? What do you blame Jo?

BB - Hmmm, what I blame him, so much if you only knew! he doesn't finish a point in a smash it's unbearable… moreover he is very bad at FIFA, I miss him terribly when I knock him down with Saint-Etienne when he takes his heart team, Olympique Lyonnais [laughs] .

More seriously, I have nothing to reproach him with, I suggested that he come with me to Madrid when I set up the project with Babolat, he trusted me and was highly motivated.

We are very united whether it is at padel or even in everyday life ... as you have seen in the tournaments, when I got injured at the start of the year he had a very good behavior and level of play which allowed us to win this first tournament 2017.

the roles are reversed at the end of the year when Jo gets injured on the last training. We managed to stay together and tried to help him as best as I could with a win!

Padelistically, he is a very very good striker, he has very good volleys and an incredible smash, having a player on the right who finishes so many points is a big strength and in addition he defends well!

Jo? What do you blame for Bast?

JB - What I reproach Bastien… is not knowing how to get out… we could earn a lot more points… No more seriously I have nothing to reproach Bastien, we have been playing together since February 2017, in a year we have both made enormous progress. Our strength is to be really united in the most difficult times.

As in Toulouse where I was injured and it was he who held the house to win this last title of the year!

For me it's simple, it's the best player left in France. He knows how to defend almost every ball, be aggressive when it is necessary and above all he is one of the only ones who is able to go out to win the point. This is a very strong force because opponents are reluctant to snap now.

Mission failed for us, since we did not manage to make them say bad of their partner. We will try to be better next time.
