The presentation of the pair Coki Nieto / Jon Sanz marked the 2026 pre-season. Their video, filmed on a Barcelona beach and which went viral with a radio and a coconut as a nod to the past, officially confirmed their sporting reunion.
But behind this successful announcement lies a much more chaotic story.
A theft during filming
On the chain Padel ReviewCoki Nieto revealed that filming had been disrupted by a major incident:
during the recording, All the team's suitcases and personal belongings were stolen..
The problem didn't just affect the players. The production team also lost a lot of equipment.

A race against time before the match
Fortunately for the two Spaniards, the filming took place on a Tuesday and their entry into the Master Final was not scheduled until Friday.
These few days have been decisive for:
- file a complaint
- replace the equipment
- to urgently retrieve snowshoes and equipment
Coki was able to rely on the proximity of his sponsors' offices in Barcelona to get back to playing quickly, even though the administrative and logistical management weighed on his mental preparation.
A pair who already know each other
Nieto and Sanz had decided to reform their duo as soon as the Barcelona Tour Finals, after their respective seasons ended with Paquito Navarro et mike yanguas.
Their joint success at Final Master 2024 had left a feeling of incompleteness, and their objective for 2026 is clear: to get closer to the world's Top 4.
A start that's still delayed
So far, the pair have not played any tournaments this season due to Coki Nieto's injury, who missed the first stage.
Their official launch is now expected at P2 of Gijónwhere they should finally officially debut together.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
