Le padel professional is at a turning point in its history, and we wonder what will be the circuits of padel which will be offered to professional players in 2022 and then in 2024.

2022

Normally, players should have 3 circuits to choose from in 2022. The World Padel Tour and the APT Padel Tour of course, as in previous years, but also a newcomer: the FIP/QSI circuit, which could start next March with a “Grand Chelem” in Qatar. Barring a new change, the circuit partly imagined by Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luigi Carraro should see the light of day this season.

A wider offer therefore, which is obviously a good thing for the players. Indeed, this will allow them to more easily devote themselves to their sport and earn a better living.

2024

For 2024, several players are in the running to try to recover the gratin of the padel global. WPT, APT and FIP/QSI of course, but also two other groups who also wish to secure the services of the best players. the Padel Players Tour by Lisandro Borges, and a band called Next Gen on the other.

Who will win? If we are to believe the player Rafa Mendez, FIP/QSI would currently hold the rope, with the WPT as the main rival. But beware, things change very quickly in the padel and we are not immune to a change of situation. We imagine that the other actors have not said their last word, and the fight should be tight until the end!

The other question concerns girls, about whom we speak relatively little at the moment. Will they still have a calendar similar to that of the gentlemen, or will they benefit from their own circuit? Many questions remain unanswered and the next two years should be rich in twists and turns!
