The Global study Padel Report conducted by Playtomic taught us that 111 padel courts around the world were being set up every week in 2023. But in the end, which countries have the most padel courts? Well, the report gives us the answer to this question!

Without surprise, spain climbs to first place on the podium, with no less than 16.126 tracks at the end of 2023. Our trans-Pyrenean neighbors are several years ahead in terms of padel, compared to the rest of the globe. However, one country has positioned itself just behind Spain, becoming its historical runner-up.

On the second step of the podium, with no less than 8.347 lands, we find Italy ! Padel is experiencing a real boom among the transalpines and much faster development than in France. It is therefore completely normal that we find Italy in second place in this ranking.

To finish this podium, it is indeed the France which is behind Spain and Italy. However, there are far fewer padel courts: only 2.179. However, France is the only country to have built more padel courts in 2023 than in 2022 (474 in 2022 for 673 in 2023).

Note that Sweden, a true 3rd nation (at least) in terms of tracks, was not included in the report. We will come back to the reason in a future paper.

La Belgium and Netherlands are just behind France, with respectively 1.763 et 1.733 tracks. Note that the USA are positioned in 11th place in the ranking, with only 454 courses in the territory.

This proves that padel still has a lot to do to establish itself permanently throughout the world!

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
