2 French which are found in Spain and decide to play a tournament. 4 games later, it's time final and they leave with the title. A great experience.

It was a 2nd category tournament that took place in Tenerife, in the club of Padel San Miguel, one of the only areas in Spain where you can still participate in amateur tournaments without too many restrictions. During his stay, Patrick Fouquet proposes to Julien Bondia to share the track. An exchange of experiences, an enriching adventure.

4 matches therefore to reach the final. Matches that have been won not at game speed, but only with tactics, the experience of “Monsieur” Fouquet hits the mark. And the final was even more tactical.

Thanks to Padel Magazine, this final could be followed live. More than 1500 people were in front of the screen to follow this part. A badly started first set with unusual unforced errors forced the 2 French to fight in the tie-break. And it is at the start of the second set that the injury comes.

Patrick Fouquet feels calf pain from the first game of the 2nd set. A pain which increases with the games and which forces him to play while walking. The tactician then suggests to Julien to cover more track, to keep the game slow, activate the defense until the possibility of accelerating the slightest ball. It was not easy but it ends up paying off.

The match ends in a tie-break, final score 7 / 6 7 / 6. A straight edge victory against Hayek / Mesa.

For those who would like to watch the match again, it's here!
