When you watch the different games of the WPT players you may have noticed that there are many players who have this habit. Indeed, many of them blow on their hands between the points. But what is it for?

Is it to dry your hands before an important point? Or is it a simple way to concentrate?

Chances are it's a bit of both. Some players sweat a lot from their hands and we know that every point counts in a game on the WPT. Blowing on your hands would therefore be a quick way to dry your hands to avoid dropping the racket, or feeling the ball less well on impact.

Brands were interested in this hand sweating. Nox has developed a towel which allows the hands to dry very quickly, and to have a good grip of the hand on the handle.

Bullpadel has also developed a special grip to allow players to better hold the handle: the grip hesacore.

Head has also created very comfortable, sweat-absorbing overgrips so the player can maintain good racquet support and feel.

On the psychology side, bringing your hands together and blowing on them might be a psychological anchoring to lose focus immediately. The mind is an extremely important aspect in the Padel therefore each player must be able to stay focused at the important moment.
