The company Work &Padel recently made its debut by creating its first club in Aix-en-Provence within the Hopps Group company. With 2 padel courts and soon (much?) more to come, W&P is based on a very interesting concept linked to the business world. We'll tell you everything.
An original story
A former good tennis player and self-taught all-rounder, Dorian Bargigli was one of the first to launch padel in the Aix-Marseille region at the Presqu'île de Cassis club in 2010.
Noting his strong development potential, he had the brilliant idea of associating Padel and the business world by setting up sports structures directly within companies.
This is how the first W&P “test” club was created at the end of 2017 within HOPPS GROUP, a leading holding company in the local delivery, services and communication market (600 employees at the head office in Aix, 22.000 employees, 500 million euros in turnover).
An innovative concept
Based on the observation that well-being in the workplace has become one of the crucial challenges of the XNUMXst century, Work &Padel is based on a simple but very innovative concept: giving employees the opportunity to practice a fun and original sport directly at work, and also developing a global offer aimed at taking into account the development of the employee and the strengthening of group cohesion within the company: provision of a qualified employee responsible for the proper functioning of the structure, organization of regular team-building, group lessons, inter-company tournaments, mini-tournaments between departments, afterworks, connecting employees through the organization of games, courses and padel school for employees' children, etc.
The bet is winning. For several months, attendance has been rising to 300 players/week, and more and more employees are coming to the club to play or chat over a coffee or a beer during the "afterwork&padel" events.
A project that is developing
Faced with the success of the first W&P club, Dorian, assisted by a sports director and a marketing manager, does not intend to stop there.
Work &Padel finalizes the opening of its second club in Marseille at Brousse Vergez (agri-food trade) and should launch a third site at the Château de la Pioline aux Milles (luxury hotel) by the end of the summer.
In addition, several projects are under development in the Aix-Marseille region and could come into being between the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019.
As the founder admits, “nur objective is to have ten W&P clubs in the region by 2020 ". Before conquering new territories?
In summary, Work and Padel, it is…
- . A visionary entrepreneur and an original idea
- . An innovative concept
- . A qualified and motivated team
- . A strong ambition: create links within the company and strengthen employee well-being
- . A “brand” set to grow rapidly
…And of course padel, padel and more padel!!!
