Le padel always attracts more players, spectators and fans. The World Padel Tour obviously take advantage of this boom in padel global. 2019 will be remembered as a year apart for the professional circuit which records record numbers.

And the Final Master in Barcelona came to confirm this trend: The padel becomes more and more international with more and more nationalities present during the padel.

Each year the circuit of World Padel Tour attracts more players, more spectators, and more dates on the tournament calendar. To end on a high note, the organization has chosen to settle in Barcelona, in a historic place of sport and entertainment, the Palau Sant Jordi, on the heights of the city.

Record broken for the number of spectators present on site. 9 is the exact number of people who came to the stadium at the same time. And despite what you might think, it wasn't for the finals. Indeed, it was the semi-finals that most attracted fans of the padel at Palu Saint Jordi.

The other “big” record was the number of YouTube views. Over the 4 days of competitions during the WPT MASTER, more than 2 visualizations were recorded: Madness!

Every year the WPT puts on a show. In 2019, she performed very well with this Master, certainly the most successful in its history. The professional circuit is also taking full advantage of the democratization of padel on all continents.

In Barcelona, we could still see the record influence of foreigners during this Master. If we have not been able to obtain figures on the number of foreigners in relation to the Spanish public, we can assure you that these records can be attributed largely to fans who come from around the world.

The French were not left out. The border is not far, and we have never seen so many French people during a World Padel Tour, explained our French Julie Derrough, who now works for the World Padel Tour (which you will be able to read and hear very soon on our antennas).

For 2020, the WPT is already announcing new features. We look forward !
