Padel is a young sport on social networks. However, it is now present on the main platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok or even LinkedIn! But, what has allowed a rapid rise of padel at the digital level is the YouTube channel of the World Padel Tour (WPT), and its presence on Twitch.

At first, padel players tended to snub padel a little on the various social networks. The padel player liked to play but was not necessarily a fan. Thanks to the work of many players in the sector, things are changing and padel is increasingly taking over a good media space. So much so that today some points of the WPT have been viewed several million times! Which ones? We have selected two!

Marcello Jardim's point

This is the reference point for padel purists since it is the first to have toured the planet. In particular, it has allowed padel to cross barriers that were previously thought insurmountable. Many people around the world have been able to realize that it is an ultra spectacular sport.

The point took place at the Seville Open in 2016 between the world number 2 pair of the time: Paquito Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez, against Marcello Jardim and Franco Stupaczuk.

It's a point that brings together all the aspects of padel, impossible shots, smashes, window returns, with an ending that is, to say the least, unexpected!

The WPT made the buzz thanks to this point on YouTube. It has more than 1 million views, and a lot of comments.

Belasteguin Point and Lima

During the Granada Open in 2017, the point between Fernando Belasteguin and Pablo Lima against Miguel Lamperti and Juani Mieres has far surpassed his predecessor in terms of views.

A point that had nearly 2,5 million views alone on YouTube before the video was deleted. You can find this epic moment from 2min38 on the video just below. A point that perfectly sums up this mythical quarter-final offered by the 4 players on the track!
