The bronze medal was not far away for the French team of padel women who lose two points to one against the Italian selection.

After Alix Collombon and Charlotte Soubrie have allowed France to pick up at one point everywhere in the match for third place against Italy, it was up to Léa Godallier and Mai Vo to get on the track.

Opposed to the duo Marchetti (82 WPT) / Orsi (60 WPT), the French entered the field determined to offer the decisive point to their selection.

In this high-stakes match, we felt the four players quite tense, with a lot of faults on both sides. Mai and Léa got a set point in the first set but it was ultimately the Italians who took the lead in the tie-break. Not dejected by the loss of the first, the French went back to coal to pick up a sleeve everywhere.

The French got off to a bad start in the last act and chased the score all the round. They were not far from coming back but the Transalpines were able to be solid in the last moments to win 7/6 5/7 6/3.

Like the boys, the girls finish in fourth place at this World Cup in Qatar. Some regrets inevitably because the players of Robin Haziza really didn't go far from the bronze medal.

Proud of his players, the coach insists that this is a successful competition for the Blue:
