We are a few days away from the worlds of padel which will be held in Qatar and tension is mounting among the participating teams.

The tournament, organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF), will bring together 320 players from 16 different nations and will be held at Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha from November 15 to 20.

As the qualifications have just started, an overview of the favorite nations.

Two ultra favorites

Among the nations present there are two that will hold the attention of the public and it is naturally the Argentine selection which displays a dream-team that can panic the competition  and the Spanish armada.

If in the girls Spain seems a cut above, in the men, the suspense remains total between these two selections of very high level.

Compared to the last European Championship, Spain records the arrival of Lebron and Galan and therefore has the first 3 players in the WPT standings. But in front Argentina can boast of having 8 of the first 13 of the ranking. As much to say to you that except huge earthquake, these two nations will find themselves in the final and that they should offer us an exceptional spectacle!

Competition for places of honor

Behind these two teams, Brazil are favorites for the medal for men. So there should be a fierce fight for the semi-finals between at least Italy, France and Belgium. Attention also to other South American nations which still have very good players of padel.

In girls, in the absence of Portugal, Italy is the favorite for the medal behind Spain and Argentina. Indeed, the transalpine selection has several players who play the previas of the World Padel Tour for a few years now. But beware, France led by Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier will also want to get this medal, just like the South American selections, Brazil in the lead, which also offer great things. We should therefore feast on the side of Doha!
