September 17 is a big deadline for 16 young padelists. Indeed, the succession of padel French goes fly to Mexico to defend the tricolor colors during the Worlds organized inu September 20 to 26.

On the girls side, Célia TALANO and Lou LAMBERT AGOSTI will form the pair of U14s. Four U16s were called: Thaïs BAULARD PANICHI, Jade CESSOU, Julie FERRARA and Eloïse MARAIS. Finally, coach Laurent Imbert called on two U18s: Ninon MARTINACH and Jade PSNOKA.

For the boys, we opted for a different strategy, with 3 U14s: Timéo FONTENY, Yoan BORONAD and Guillaume POIRRIER. There are also 16 under 3s: Ethan BENSOUSSAN, Arthaud DUMOULIN and Ethann GARRY. Finally, two U18s will make the trip to Mexico: Manuel LORENZO and Basile TARDY.

You now know the young people who will defend France at the Worlds in Mexico where each meeting will be played to the best of three parts. Note that a player selected in U14 can evolve in U16, just as a U16 can evolve in U18. This is why the coaches have taken only two U18s each time.

Note, however, that the Netherlands, Sweden and above all spain announced that they would not participate in the worlds because of the Covid-19 and the prevailing insecurity in the Mexican province. A postponement was suggested.

I have become a real fan of padel when I attended the first edition of the FIP RISE Canet-en-Roussillon in 2021. The atmosphere, the game and this sport motivated me like never before to combine my profession and padel.
