WPT Las Rozas Open: Bela and Sanyo still in the mind!

Fernando Belasteguin and Sanyo Gutierrez will play their second consecutive final on the World Padel Tour thanks to their victory against Capra / Sanchez.

Defeated by Maxi Sanchez and Lucho Capra in Valladolid, Bela and Sanyo had the opportunity to take their revenge today in Las Rozas.

Under conditions quite similar to those encountered in Castilla y Leon, Sanchez and Capra, who impressed yesterday against Chingotto / Tello, started off with a bang. Thanks to a break acquired from the start of the match, Severino Iezzi's players won the first set 6/4.

Jostled by two players who play very close to the net and excel in blocking, Bela and Sanyo are unable to take the measure of their opponents. In a boiling hot second set, the number 2 seed achieves a very high level tie-break to tie in one set everywhere.

The third set starts off on the same basis, with two pairs going back to back. As we approach the money time, the favorites make the break at 4/4 and therefore offer themselves an opportunity to serve for the match. Led 15/40, they will fight to afford a golden point which they won on a furious smash from Sanyo.

A bit like yesterday against Lamperti and Yanguas, Bela and Sanyo were jostled but managed, mentally, to get out of the most complicated situations. Tomorrow, they will have the opportunity to win their 4th title of the season. It will be either against the favorites Galan and Lebron, as in Valencia, or against Lima and Tapia!
