Superb performance by Alix Collombon and Jessica Castello who eliminated Bea Gonzalez and Martita Ortega in quarterfinal of the WPT Mallorca Challenger!

Not favorites against those who arrived pumped up after winning the WPT Danish Open, Alix and Jessica performed very well this afternoon!

Yet led too much in the meeting, the Lyonnaise and her partner never let go and were able to grab their delay to push the first set to the tie-break. A decisive game which started under a light drizzle and which, despite Martita's complaints, was able to go to its end. Much stronger mentally, Castello and Collombon left their opponents only one point in the tie-break and went back to their seats full of confidence.

Galvanized by winning this first set, the Frenchwoman and her teammate didn't let go in the second act, and they logically left with the victory 7/6 6/3. A success that will allow them to face Eli Amatriain and Carolina Navarro tomorrow, in a match that promises to be very open!
