The last match of the men's quarter-finals of World Padel Tour Master of Marbella was an absolute show, won by Mati Diaz and Maxi Sanchez.

The first three men's quarterfinals of the day didn't give us much suspense. We can say that the favorites did not detail, winning all in two sets. Indeed, Navarro / Lima have disposed of Germani / Gonzalez 6 / 1 6 / 2, Stupaczuk / Gutierrez beat Fernandez / Grabiel 7 / 5 6 / 3, and Lebron / Galan easily dismissed Botello / Ruiz: 6 / 2 6 / 2.

Fortunately for fans of thrillers, the last meeting of the day offered us a part of almost three hours ! In this clash between number 4 and 5 seeds, we expected a close game, and we were not disappointed!

However dominant at the start of the game, Bela and Tapia are less inspired than their opponents in important moments and let the first set slip by: 7/5. Sharper in the second and stronger in the hot moments, the two Argentines managed to pick up the score: they won the second round 6/2.

The third set gives us a spectacle of incredible intensity. Dominators at first, Sanchez and Diaz get a first match point at 5/4 on their serve, but the “punto de oro” is saved by a flash of genius from Tapia. This is only part discount for “El Tiburon” and “El Warrior” who dominate the 7/5 tie-break, and win the best match of the tournament so far.

In favor of this victory 7/5 2/6 7/6, Diaz / Sanchez, who have made an immense effort tonight, will have to recover well by tomorrow, because a heavy task awaits them in the semi-finals, the pair Lima / Navarro… The other semi-final will oppose Galan / Lebron, which greatly impressed us, at Stupaczuk / Gutierrez.
