Second day of the final draw for this World Padel Tour Marbella Master 2022 and no surprises were found this Wednesday, June 1st.

Indeed, the favorites have not flinched and we will find them at the meeting of the eighth.

In the men

World number 1 Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron overcame the pair quite easily Miguel Lamperti – Jon Sanz in two sets 6/3 – 6/2. As usual, the Spaniards were solid throughout the game and they start the competition in excellent conditions.

same for me Javier Ruiz and Javier Rico which ensure their passage in 1/8th thanks to a good performance against Gonzalo Rubio and Jorge Ruiz 6/2 - 6/3.

Full card also on the side of Mago de San Luis and his partner. sanyo gutierrez, who became second time dad today, and Agustin Tapia won 6/0 – 6/4 in barely an hour of play against Jose Sanchez and Javier Valdes. Very fit lately the Argentines have played their game.

In the afternoon, the finalists of the last Italy Major Premier Padel were also flawless. At home, the Andalusian Paquito Navarro and his teammate Martin Di Nenno left no chance Ramiro Moyano et Juan Cruz Belluati. Final score 6/4 – 6/1. The Spanish-Argentinian pair are confident and should hurt Marbella!

Unfortunately for our tricolor Benjamin Tison, the Andalusian adventure ended on Tuesday during the first day of the 1/16th. The Francilien and his partner Teo Zapata fell in the 3rd set during their confrontation against Jose Rico Dasi and Agustin Gutierrez. Despite a good performance, the Franco-Spanish pair lost 6/4 – 4/6 – 6/1.

In the ladies

Same fight !

The favorites did not weaken and ensured the show.

The numbers 1 Alejandra Salazar et Gemma Triay left no chance for the players to Manu Martin, Eli Amatriain and Carolina Navarro. The favorites win 6/3-6/3 and prove that they are there after a disappointing Danish Open.

Ascents to block, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria crushed the new pair consisting of Lorena Rufo et Carmen Goenaga : 6/1 – 6/1. After two complicated performances, the number two are determined to return to their best level!

Marta Ortega and Beatriz González they also continue the adventure by eliminating Maria Carmen Villalba et Ana Nogueira in two sets 6/2 – 6/3. The champions of the last Danish Open intend to continue their momentum.

On the French side it is Léa Godallier who will represent the tricolor flag in the 1/8th finals.
Indeed, thanks to his victory alongside his partner Teresa Navarro face Sara Pujals and Raquel Piltcher (6/4-6/2) the original Tahitian will face the pair this Thursday Marta Marrero and Lucia Sainz, victorious against our second Frenchwoman on the circuit, Alix Collombon, and its “comp” Jessica castello.
