While waiting for the draw for the various tables of the first tournament of the season, let's take stock of the seeded players and the number of French entered.

This Wednesday, the pre-qualification, qualification and final tables of the WPT Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master, men and women, will fall. A first tournament that everyone is looking forward to so much the changes have been important.

Changes of partners, but also of material, physical freshness and desire to do well, improvement of the game, but also appearance of “No Ad”, streaming in English, new sponsors, in short, it smokes in the boxes.

As for the top seeds, we will find among the men as number 1 Ale Galan and Juan Lebron, followed by Pablo Lima and Paquito Navarro. Next come Franco Stupaczuk and Sanyo Gutiérrez, Maxi Sanchez and Mati Díaz, and we will close with Agustín Tapia and Fernando Belasteguín. Suffice to say that if you are not in front of your screen next weekend, you may be missing something.

In the ladies, Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sánchez hold the number 1 position, followed by Paula Josemaría and Marta Marrero, in number 3 Marta Ortega and Bea González. Finally we find to complete the list, the pairs Ana Nogueira and Delfi Brea then the experienced Lucía Sainz and Gemma Triay.

And the French?

The number of French people present at WPT tournaments is constantly increasing. In the ladies we will find in 14th place Alix Collombon and her partner Nicole Traviesa. Then come the turn of Laura Clergue and Léa Godallier in 38th place. Mélissa Martin and her partner Meli García Truchado in 42nd place. Finally, happy to see the appearance of Fiona Ligi on the circuit with her partner Diana Da Silva, pointing to 51st place.

For men, as every year the fight will be hard, but we know that the blues will give everything. The highest ranked are Jérémy Scatena and Benjamin Tison, in 52nd place. Next comes Maxime Moreau and Pablo Acevedo in 56th place. Further on appears Johan Bergeron and his teammate Javier López García in 68th place. Bastien Blanqué started his season far behind with Javier de Paiz, in 89th place. A good surprise, that of seeing another 100% French pair with a toilet, that formed by Nicolas Trancart and Thomas Leygue, in 100th place.
