The semi-finals of World Padel Tour Santander Open gave us matches of a very, very high level despite a day that ended with Bela's premature injury.

Lebron - Galan take revenge

After a match of more than 3 hours, intense and full of suspense, Galan and Lebron win their match against Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno. The Spaniards qualify for the final on the score of  6-7 (8) / 7-6 (7) / 6-4 . A totally crazy match that will have allowed them to take their revenge.

They face today  Jeronimo gonzalez  et  javier rico , a surprise pair who qualified following injury to  Fernando Belasteguin.  

Indeed, while the numbers 1 in the Race led  3 / 1,  Bela collapsed on the court and immediately felt it was over. Already affected in the calf in Vigo, the Argentinian could not continue in this meeting which seemed to be well under way.

Momo Gonzalez and Javi Rico did not give up too much juice in the semi-final, and they will normally be in great shape today. In view of the level posted by Lebron and Galan yesterday, it is a good thing that the underdogs are physically at the top!

Brea and Icardo for the feat

Yesterday morning, Delfi Brea and Tamara Icardo continued their work in this Santander Open, eliminating a new seed: Marta Marrero - Marta Ortega.

Very confident thanks in particular to his victory against the numbers 1,  Gemma Triay  et  Alejandra Salazar , the Hispano - Argentinian pair put it back today against the  Martas  by imposing  6-3 / 6 3-  !

Tamara and Delfi therefore their first final together on the WPT, against the champions of the last tournament!

Indeed,  Virginia Riera  et  Patricia Llaguno  again dominated a higher-ranked pair to clinch a second straight final. A snatch victory against  Lucia Sainz  et  Bea Gonzalez  at the end of an exceptional match:  7-5 / 4-6 / 6-4 .

It is therefore completely new poster that we will have this Sunday from  10:00 . If Llaguno and Riera will logically start favorites against a pair that they beat in their only confrontation, it will be necessary to be wary of Brea and Icardo who seem to love this status of outsider!
