Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno win the World Padel Tour Vigo Open after a magnificent final against Lebron and Galan!

What a game ! We were expecting a superb final between the two best-ranked pairs in the World Padel Tour And we were not disappointed !

In the line of their semi-final, Lebron and Galan had started the meeting with a bang, leaving only crumbs to their opponents. Logically, they won the first set 6/2 and we saw them very well on their way to gleaning their first title of the season.

But that was without counting on the unfailing determination of Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno. Little by little, Rodri Ovide's players began to feel more comfortable on the track and by dint of battled games, they managed to install a real showdown in this match. Rewarded for their efforts, they won the second round 6/3 and put pressure on the numbers 1.

A little less successful, Mariano Amat's players were starting to make more mistakes and the tension was clearly visible on their faces. True to themselves, Navarro and Di Nenno continued their work and packed the game with winning points and heroic defenses.

As the number 1s saved a match point on a 3/5 “punto de oro” on their serve, they failed to prevent Paquito and Martin from winning their first title of the season on the next deciding point. Final score 2/6 6/3 6/4, Navarro and Di Nenno win this WPT Vigo Open and fully enter this 2022 season.

For Lebron and Galan, this is of course not the dream start to the season even if they remain in two consecutive finals. We imagine that they will arrive very upset at the Premier Padel Qatar Major, which is being played this week in Doha, where they were crowned world champions last November.
